The MPD Division of Code enforcement was
created in 2004. This division of the police department deals
primarily with violations of Mobridge municipal ordinance. The
Code Enforcement Officer is a sworn police officer and has
full police powers. Some of the areas of city code focused on include property
maintenance, animal control, parking enforcement and bicycle
registration.
Property maintenance issues include length of
grass, weed control, abandoned vehicles, junk and debris,
discarded furniture and appliances, ice & snow on sidewalks
and building code.
Animal control issues include enforcing city code relating
to domestic animals at-large, stray animals, animals
disturbing the peace and dog registration.
Parking enforcement deals with vehicle parking violations
within the City of Mobridge.
Bicycle registration issues include dealing with annual
bicycle licensing requirements. |
